Dr. Natasha Hendrick Appointed a Member of the Order of Australia

Co-founder of b.bold named on the 2024 Australia Day Honours List for significant service to youth and to earth sciences.

PERTH, AUSTRALIA - JANUARY 29TH, 2024b.bold co-founder, Natasha Hendrick is appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in the 2024 Australia Day Honours List for significant service to youth and to earth sciences. Natasha has been recognized for her commitment and contributions to efforts such as founding b.bold, a new organization dedicated to bridging the gap in leadership development for women in STEMM, and for her long-time service in organizations including the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, Girl Guides Australia, Girl Guides Queensland, Women Who Code, and Australian Earth Science Education.

On being appointed, Natasha Hendrick says, “I am humbled and honoured to receive recognition for this important work that has been a focal point of my life and career.” She went on to speak about what drives her commitment to give back to others saying, “It’s partly about giving back to those community organizations that gave me so many amazing experiences that enriched my youth. It's also about making the world a better place for all of us. In addition, I believe you only ever get out of life what you are prepared to put into it. And caring for others and sharing my knowledge and expertise gives me a sense of purpose, and provides opportunities for plenty of fun, learning and growth.” Natasha’s commitment to service and building a better world continues to be exemplified through her work every day.
